[Mesh] [FNF] Fwd: grant

Jenny - sorry if I came across as pushing for an open process in this
instance. I really don't know enough yet to have an opinion on that -
mainly just wanted to point out a couple relevant initiatives with
transparent reasoning, to inform the discussion.
