MAYBE IT IS NOT, BUT...
If the computer works, and only the charging part is not happening... i
would make sure the contacts are clean, using a dry toothbrush wouldn't
hurt. The power connector has a magnet property, a staple or something like
that could have gotten there; or simple some dirt.
