Heh, just in time;-)

A client of mine has some redundant computer hardware minus HDDs, I was
just there today working on their phones, and a colleague is going over
there tomorrow to work on their network.

Two Dell desktops, large tower configuration, and three old laptops, all
minus HDs. If interested, someone say something and I'll email my
client to ask if it's possible to save from going to e-waste.

I also have a half dozen or so ancient Mac desktop machines,
approximately Mac System 7 vintage, if anyone's interested.

And hell yeah! it would be a great thing for SR to recycle old machines
with new Linux distros with the privacy & security settings cranked up
to 11, and sell them to the public. With sufficient quantities that
could become another source of part-time right livelihood income for
some of the folks who are in difficult economics, splitting the income
between SR and the folks who are rebuilding the machines.

This service could also be promoted to local businesses. If we get
nonprofit sponsorship, any such donations, as local businesses upgrade
their machines and give us the used ones, would be tax deductions for
them. This will bring in truckloads of mildly obsolete computers that
can be reincarnated as fast secure Linux boxes.

Yeee hawwww!
