Howdy Folks,

It's almost that time again - come on down to the 4th bi-weekly microcontroller night!

Happenings this session include some basics on power supply and voltage regulation, working with sensors, Raspberry Pi to Arduino interfacing, driving LED strips, and possibly actuating valves plus, most importantly, absolutely anything you want! Come prepared with ideas and any specialized hardware you need to carry out your project. So far there seem to have been enough arduinos etc to keep everybody busy. If you are going to bring a pi to experiment with, it is very helpful to bring an HDMI to DVI adapter since that's video output is the main bottleneck in terms of peripherals available at the space.

We now have a dedicated list for sudo room and of course wider community microcontroller projects - please subscribe if you want to participate in more detailed discussion of projects without having to rattle off too many super project-specific details on the main discussion list:
http://lists.sudoroom.org/listinfo/controllers

Also created an event on the face book - feel free to join and invite your friends, or enemies or whatever:

Nobody was really using the etherpad for collaborating on projects so I'll try to come up with a better system to augment face to face scheming. If you have experience with mySQL or SQLite and would like to scheme along on a slick tech tree-like frontend for a general purpose project management database, please do get in touch.

Hope to see y'all there!
Hol
