[sudo-discuss] network static IP and questions

i'm reading the wiki page but i don't see how to set up a static IP 
address

i see that static IP addresses are below .42.50

can i just set up something to take that address and it will be fine?  I 
don't have to set it up somewhere else?

also.. i noticed that none of the stuff in the internet factory upstairs 
is labeled - it's just wires going here and there that you have to follow.

is anyone planning on labeling that stuff?
