I don't think you're gonna be making any profits off a hackerspace (Even
TechShop, with all its funding and fancy tools and expensive membership, is
struggling). Even if you did manage to, imagine how people would feel when
they found out that money given to sudoroom was ending up in people's
pockets instead of going towards the space & its programs.

Same for non-profit. UNLESS you are tax exempt, in which case you don't
have to pay it. (non-profit and tax exemption status are two separate
things)
